I loved looking up the story of these old timber moulds.  They were often sold in sets as a way to make extra income for keen bakers.  They were dusted with corn flour and filled with fondant icing then tapped out, dried and placed on cakes to create very fancy creations.  I will be adding to this collection over the next few weeks as I was able to find a great haul of these gems.  For me, if I had any wall space left in my kitchen I would be attaching a hanging loop on the back and creating a retro wall collection.  They come with their original paper wrapping. (paper has some damage due to age)
